So, when I was a teenager and I started to get spots I did not really do much for my face apart from wash with clear water every morning and use a facial wash. I found that the routine was not helping, and it was due to me not using certain products. My skin type is sensitive and so I try to get products that match with that.
Ever since I have used the products on my face, my skin has been healthier and clearer. Its smooth and I honestly am so pleased with the results.
Morning routine – When I wake up this is the routine I do.
Step 1. Wash face with clear warm water
Step 2. Use Cleanser/Facial wash (light foaming) – put a small amount onto my fingers and rub until it starts foaming then gently place on my face, rubbing in circular motions. Then wash off with clear warm water.
Step 3. Moisturiser – I always moisturise my face because it helps to protect, lubricate my skin.
Step 4. Anti-ageing Day cream- I get this product from ALDI and it is the best buy I have ever bought. I use this everyday and have done since 2018. I use a small amount on my face every morning.
Step 5. Sunscreen- If I am going out in hot weather, I put on sunscreen to help protect my skin from harsh sunlight. Because I live in the UK, I use SPF 30 because the weather does not tend to get too hot here.
Most days I do not wear makeup, partly because of how it makes my face breakout. I only wear makeup if I have an event to go to. For example, meal out with the family, birthdays, and weddings. It is so important to look after our skin. Even if you wear makeup every day, this skincare routine is so great because it will help you to have fresh and softer skin.
Night-time Routine – Before I go to bed.
So, this is my skincare routine when it comes to the end of the day.
Step 1. Makeup Remover (Go to step 2 if you don’t have makeup on) – I use wipes to take off my makeup which I know has mixed reviews but I just feel this works for me but you can buy other types of makeup remover which works just as good. So just find whatever works for you.
Step 2. Use cleanser/Facial wash – I do the same for this step in the evening as a do in the morning.
Step 3. Toner – I love using this toner because it is quick way to remove any excess dirt, traces of oil or makeup on the skin. It also helps to correct and balance the pH in the skin and helps to control acne.
Step 4. Moisturiser – I use the same moisturiser in the evening and the morning because I find it really nourishes my skin and protects it.
Step 5. Anti-ageing Night Cream – Same brand but different cream. I love this Night cream and I love how it makes your skin super soft.
I also make sure that twice a week I exfoliate my face and if I can I use a face mask twice a week too.
So, that is all for my routine, I know we all have different routines and what works for us is different to others but that is okay. Our skin is different and so we all need to find our own routine that works well for us individually.
