My Gluten-Free diet

So, not that long ago I decided to write about when I became diagnosed with coeliac disease and how it changed my life.

Subsequently, I had to change a lot within my diet and so I thought for this blog I would write about what I eat in a day but also where I get things from. I know being Gluten-Free can be hard, so here are some things I eat.

I hope it helps you, even if you aren't Gluten-Free. Maybe you are dairy free, lots of the products down below are dairy free also! I hope it gives you wisdom into what food I eat and the differences between them.

What I eat and drink in a day.

Before Breakfast - I always have a glass of water as soon as I wake up. This is because I struggle with bloating and it can become extremely painful. To help my stomach, I put in Apple cider vinegar as this improves digestion.

I am really not sure why this vinegar is spelt differently. Let me know in the comments if you know why.

Aspall Raw Organic Apple Cyder Vinegar (with The Mother) 500ml RRP £2.60

Breakfast -

During lock down, I have come to love porridge. If you are like me and love to have porridge thick and sweet, then Morrisons Gluten-Free oats are the best and super cheap! I also put chia seeds, raisins and healthy low salt peanut butter. Sounds strange I know, but it's the best thing! If that is not what I fancy, then I go for toast and M&S do the best bread. See below!

Morrisons Free From Express Porridge Variety Pack 162g RRP £1.80

M&S Made Without Wheat Gluten Free Sourdough Loaf 400G RRP £3.50

After breakfast I take Multivitamins and Iron Tablets. You can get these from any supermarket. I get mine from Morrisons but Holland and Barrett are very good and they have lots of options.

Morrisons Multi-Vitamins and Iron 180 in a pack RRP £3.00

Lunch -

For lunch, I usually have crackers with cheese and hummus. But, some days I might have a wrap. Tesco do the best wraps that are super moist and healthy. Many supermarkets have lots of options. My favourites are below!

Nairns Gluten Free Seeded Crackers 137g RRP £1.70

Snack -

I don’t usually snack a lot, but if I do it's either chocolate (obviously) or Carrot and cucumber sticks with almonds. I also drink at least three pints of water a day. It is important to stay hydrated!

Nomo Free From Chocolate Bar 85g RRP £2.00

Nomo Free From Hazelnot Crunch Chocolate Bar 82g RRP £2.00

Dinner -

For dinner, there are lots of dishes which I can have, such as fajitas and lasagne! I have to use Gluten-Free wraps and pasta but they taste the same. It does take some getting used to but the amount of different Gluten-free foods that are available now is incredible.

Warburtons Gluten Free Protein wraps with Super Seeds RRP £2.80

Old El Paso Gluten Free Fajita Kit 462g RRP £4.50

Tesco Free From White Lasagne Sauce 480g RRP £1.50

Tesco Free From Lasagne sheets 250g RRP £1.15

There it is! What I eat in a day.

I hope this blog gave you some insight into what is available!

Please comment below if you would like to know more of my favourite Gluten- Free foods or maybe you have just become Gluten-Free, let me know!
