Introduction to The Art of Everyday blog.

Hello lovely friends, I just thought for my first EVER blog, I would explain to you how I came up with the name for my blog and introduce myself to you.

Firstly, My name is Lois, I live in England and work in a primary school. I love Jesus, coffee, hanging with friends and encouraging and loving others. The reason I came up with doing a blog is that friends of mine have always said that they love how I encourage them. My idea is that whilst we can't see each other right now, considering we are in lock-down. I would bring my encouragement and wisdom to you here, online.

Moreover, this blog isn't just for this season, but will be something you can always refer back to, no matter what you need encouragement and/or advice on.

So, for the name of the blog, I wanted it to be something catchy but also elegant. Therefore I chose, 'The Art of Everyday.' Mostly because of the word 'Art'.

'To be artistic is to be creative, and to be creative is to be able to see beauty.' - L.Woolley

Now imagine you are in an Art Museum. The art within those rooms are valuable, they have a lot of meaning behind them. Behind the pieces, the artist wants to enable you as the one who views it to see the beauty within it. The time and effort that they have put in to completing this masterpiece.

I see this as the way we should view our own lives. Art is not just a picture, it is what we choose to do, it is how we look at things, it is how we live our life. Therefore, our life is a piece of art. It is precious, it is unique and it is most certainly valuable.

Just like my little sister says;

'Anything can be art. Creative instinct does not fit into a box. We must view a piece of art as the artist intended. To educate oneself on the purpose of a piece is such an important part of life.'

Hence, this is how I imagine God looks at us. He is the artist, we are His children. We are His piece of art. He has created us for a purpose in this world. Just like the bible verse says in Psalm 139:14; 'I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.'

It is so integral that we see the beauty in our own lives. The life we live is beautiful and it has value! We must make the most of seeking the positives that are right in front of us. Let's together daily pursue who we have been created to be.

Friend, you are made in the image of God, you are a piece of art! You are magnificent, worthy, able, beautiful, ambitious, confident, courageous and so deeply loved!

So there we are my first blog! I am going to be talking about a variety of topics that will hopefully grab your interest. I hope that through this blog you will be able to see the beauty in the little things in life, whatever that might be.

I hope you enjoyed reading and cant wait for you to get reading more of the content that will be available in the next few weeks!

Bless you my darling!

See you soon!
