Beautifully Emboldened.

We know that everything we do has purpose and we are all accepted, loved and beautiful children of God.

I was given this word ‘Emboldened’ by the Holy Spirit last week and have been pondering over it deeply thinking about the meaning. So, to be emboldened means to give (someone) the courage or confidence to do something.

As I was thinking about this word Emboldened, I couldn't but think about the pandemic.

We know Coronavirus and lockdown has hit us hard, things have happened that we never realised would and multiple plans have been changed or cancelled.

However, I want to tell you that God is preparing our hearts and is placing us in circumstances where we can only be emboldened by him for the things he has planned.

I want to tell you that our future has been created by God and his plan is wonderful. How do I know that? Look what it says in Romans 8:28…..

‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.’
Romans 8:28

We have purpose. Purpose can never be shaken or changed. That is what you have been designed to do and to be. Nothing, not one thing can change that. Therefore, God will embolden us where we are to shine his light to those around us.

There is one thing I want to tell you. God has specifically designed you for the plan he has for you and especially because he knows that where he wants you, you are the only person who can share his love to those around you. God has made you with specific gifts and skills that only you possess. How amazing is it that!

Because of this, God places us where he wants us whilst also emboldening us to be a light for him. They need to know of his light and he wants you to make disciples where you are. No one else but only you! My wonderful friend, whatever happens here on earth, whatever we go through, we are made for greater things. We are citizens of heaven!

You are saying, but Lois I don't believe in God because why doesn't he stop things happening like loss and natural disasters.

My beautiful friends, in this life we will have lots to deal with like, sadness, loss, brokenness, overwhelming circumstances, and I know that is a lot of pain but, there is a love so much deeper than any you can find and love that heals brokenness, sadness, disunity and a heavy heart. This love is Jesus. Jesus died for me and for you, He knows that things happen and He wants your heart. To be emboldened we must first know who we are and who we belong to.

So, what do we have to lose?

If we believe in a God that isn't real then we will leave the earth having lived a good life filled with love, joy, and peace. But friends, if we accept Jesus into our hearts and live a life for Him, helping everyone and sharing love to the ends of the earth, and we leave the earth to find that He really is there. That there is a beautiful heaven and everlasting life awaiting us and a place filled with love, how amazing will it be! Spending eternity with Jesus, no more tears, no more pain, with him forever fully emboldened and rejoicing in his almighty presence.

Not sure about you, but this fills my heart with so much joy and expectancy, because I know heaven will be above our thoughts and dreams!!

I want you to know that when we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and it's through this that we can be emboldened. The Holy Spirit gives us insight into right and wrong. He helps us to know what we need to do each new day, God has made you and knows everyday before you do.

Therefore, we do not need to be afraid or lack confidence, because to be emboldened means that we can rest in the assurance that whatever God has for us, he will place the right confidence and courage within us.

Remember just like it says in Philippians 4:13
‘I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.’

So, whatever we do this week and whatever is in front of us, let’s together walk in the deep knowledge that God has gone before us and will embolden us unconditionally for his future plans for us.

Much love and God bless,
