‘’See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.’’
Isaiah 43:19
This season has been hard for all of us in some way or another. However, God is still helping us through.
Maybe you have lost a loved one, lost your job, lost something you thought you would always have. Friend, I want to tell you that God knows and is right there with you. He always works things out for our good. His loving arms are around us and there is nowhere we can go where he isn’t with us.
He is always there for us. For God will never leave us nor forsake us. This is one of His many promises. How good and beautiful is this. One thing to always remember is that God keeps His promises. There isn't one single promise that He doesn't keep because He loves us and it is just who He is! A Promise Keeper.
This reminds me of one of my favourite worship songs, 'Waymaker' by Leeland. Our God is a Way maker, Miracle Worker, Promise keeper and a light in the darkness.
Whether it was something planned or not planned, he will always be there with us, helping us through the loss, the pain and the uncertainty.
As the next few weeks come and we go back to work and back to school. Let’s not forget there are greater things in front of us than behind us.
Remember…..
You can and you will do amazing things no matter what you have gone through.
I want you to know that whatever has happened in your past and the last few months, it does not disqualify you from a brighter and better future. God has a beautiful plan for your life and He always works things out for our good. God is working and doing something new in this season.
We may feel it's not how we wanted it to go and wearing masks has become a new fashion accessory, but trust me God is doing a new thing and in the future we will look back and be grateful for the things we have and how God got us through it all!
For a couple weeks now I have been thinking about what it will be like going back to work amidst a pandemic. Most of the time I have just been excited to get back but, if you are like me then overthinking has been something I've accidentally got caught up in. Something that I have been reminded lately is that we have a father who is completely in control. Of everything.
You know there is nothing that surprises Our heavenly father. He is always in every moment, and has planned everything. He knows all about us. He works everything together.
You are you. You are a child of God.
What I personally find amazing is that there isn't anyone else like you. No one looks the same as you or has the same gifts as you. Yes, we could be alike but we aren't the same. We are made completely different for a reason and have a beautiful purpose.
I want to let you know that God has made you specifically and that does not just mean you but also the plan He has for your life. It is not the same as other people. Yes, you could have the same job title as someone but you are who God has made you to be and placed you where you are for a reason.
Whatever you are facing right now, whether at work, working from home or even if you are currently doing something completely different. This does not just refer to working people, because no matter where we are or what we do, God wants us there. God knows EXACTLY where He wants you and you are where you are right now for a reason.
Our heavenly father plants us in places where we can grow and become the man or woman of God he wants us to be.
We are planted where we are for the love of God to be showered over those around us.
Things happen in our lives sometimes to make us grow deeper in our relationship with God. I truly believe that this season of COVID is a season of revival and restoration. God is restoring and bringing people into relationship with Him. This is God doing something new! Just like it says in Isaiah.
Maybe you are reading this and you don’t know God. Trust me it’s the most beautiful relationship you can ever have in your life. A relationship with God is what we are made for.
We are all born children of God and will not EVER be left alone. He is watching over us right now where we are because just like a father watches over His children on earth. Our Heavenly Father does this so much more because he made us and loves us.
Therefore….
Do not take where you are or what you are doing right now for granted. God can use us in whatever context and wherever we are to build His kingdom.
God is not limited. God does not, not use us. He always does and always will. What a beautiful promise.
Maybe you are feeling like you are not good enough, but that's not true. You are His child. His beautiful and sweet child. Made in His image for life-giving opportunities. Allow God to do a new thing but most importantly, use your gifts as a vessel to bring glory to God and to build His glorious kingdom.
Today ask Him to come into your heart and He will. Spend time in his presence and you will be forever changed.
Yours truly,
Lois (Founder of The Art of Everyday blog.)
